English Literature Task 5.

Both myself and Amelia decided to be different and post a video of our research and our opinions on the set question. We realised others have not posted a video yet therefore we decided that we should work together to produce a video for the second to last task.

We have learned a lot from each other while working on the video. We have watched videos, read blogs, and also looked at a few websites in order to make this video as informative as possible.

Finally, we have enjoyed creating this video and hope you find it useful.

Do war poems from different eras have a lot in common?

War poets have been around as long as there have been wars. Each war poem records an experience which remains as true today as when the men fought at that battle.

Here I have decided to compare and contrast a number of famous poem and looked at whether or not they have more in common than what we think.

Poems include:

1. Suicide in the Trenches by Siegfried Sassoon (WW1)

2. Here war is simple by W H Auden (1937)

3. In Flanders Fields  by John McCrae
